I recommend the show My Cat From Hell

I'm probably going to mention Jackson Galaxy a lot in my posts. https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/ I grew up with cats.  As a little girl, I'd play with the wild kittens at a neighbor's property.  I was in 4th grade when my parents got divorced.  During that time my Mother and I lived in a cottage resort area that was meant for summer living (it was not summer).  I found a tortoise shell cat under an abandoned couch and she became my best, and possibly my only friend for a while.  Her name was Halloween.  Here she is: That started a life of always having cats nearby.  Yet with all the time I've spent with cats, I've still learned a lot about them by watching Jackson Galaxy's tv show "My Cat From Hell" (on the Animal Planet). You don't have to have a "cat from hell" to get tips and ideas from the show.  I highly recommend it! My Buster has a cat track above the living room all because of that show.  It gives him a safe place...

My favorite Cat Scratcher isn't on sale any more!

Cats need to scratch.  Their claws are like sheaths and as the claws grow, the top layer needs to come off to reveal the layer underneath.  Having scratchers around helps save my furniture and helps Buster be happier (I wish I'd figured that out before he destroyed the arms of my couch, Lol!).  Now he has this scratcher next to the couch and other scratchers elsewhere and never scratches the couch. Both Buster and I love this scratching post so much! Now, having tried to find it for sale on-line, I've found it doesn't seem to be available anywhere! I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time to replace this one. Oh well, I'm going to write about it anyway.  I love it! It's a catopia 35 inch black scratching post. It came in pieces and I had to put it together. It's all black, which I like, it blends in next to the black couch and doesn't stand out. Buster loves it, he gets to stretch! Most cat posts aren't tall enough for him t...

Meet Buster, my spoiled kitty

In 2012, I was working as an apartment manager.  The apartment complex I was working at had way too many stray cats.  The cats were causing problems.  People who didn't have pets were getting fleas in their apartments and cars, and there were loud cat fights during the nights.  I was given the order to trap the stray cats and give them to animal control.  I decided to do as much as I could to do my job humanly.  While I could understand the problem, I wanted to do anything to keep from having to turn the cats over to animal control, where I felt they would probably be killed. I'd had cats years before, but had sworn not to have another indoor cat as I have allergies and had noticed that my health got better after my last one passed away.  So, I wasn't intending to adopt any of them, though a few did stay with me while I looked for homes for them. I caught one friendly and scraggly adult mother cat, and her kitten, the kitten first, the mother cat la...
